It's All About Me

I am a native Texan (and yes, proud of it), and thus, I have an interest in Texas politics, which primarily is what I discuss. I will occasionally discuss, or link to articles about, national or international issues.

As you read this blog, you will notice that I am a conservative; very much in the sense of Russell Kirk as a a person who endeavors to conserve the best in our traditions and our institutions, reconciling that best with necessary reform from time to time.

Other thinkers who have had an influence on my philosophical development are Aristotle, St. Thomas Aquinas, Niccolo Machiavelli, David Hume, Alexander Hamilton and Edmund Burke.

You’ll also notice that I also spend a lot of time talking about football and books; my other passions aside from Texas politics.
